El Camino Machine & Welding
El Camino Machine and Welding as seen looking west, circa 1998.
A Brief Company History El Camino Machine & Welding began as a partnership between Jim Gnesa and Gordon Zook in August, 1978. The first year they worked out of a tin shed at the back of what is now the Fabrication Building and did all of the work themselves. Since that humble beginning there has been manageable growth; we now employ 30 people and have a 15,000 square foot facility on an acre of land. We serve over 350 active customers. Our purpose is to provide top-quality machine and fabrication services. In this effort, we strive to keep pace with technology by expanding and updating our shop equipment. All of our work is guaranteed and customer service is our top priority. We value the welfare of our employees. We have had many of our employees over 10 years and know they are an essential part of our success. We offer year-round employment, competitive wages, and health & pension benefits.
